"DOCUMENT L & PART P"

We are now FULLY compliant to the new Government Regulations, as defined in "Building Regulations Part L & PART P". As a homeowner it is your responsibility to ensure that the company installing your new products, whether Windows, Doors, Patio Doors, or Conservatories, conform to the new Government Regulations. As a registered and approved  'FENSA' (Fenestration Self Assessment) company, we are committed to ensuring that not only is your product of the highest quality, but that your installation is registered with FENSA for future reference by any legal entity researching your property, on behalf of a prospective purchaser.  Upon installation of our Windows, Doors and/or Conservatory, your job is registered with FENSA and a FENSA certificate is then issued testifying to the legitimacy of the product itself. FENSA are also committed to ensuring that the standards are maintained by undertaking random inspections at will. Your order (if required) will meet the full requirements of “Document L“, the new building regulations effective as of 1st April 2002 & "Part P", the new building regualtions effective as of 1st January 2005, AND IF FITTED BY THIS COMPANY WILL INCLUDE FOR;

Your installation will be registered with “FENSA” and found in any future search when selling your property.

The Local building office will be notified of your installation and advised that same conforms to Document L.

Our Guarantee will be backed by an Independent Insurance Backed Guarantee Scheme.

Low `E`, heat retention (Such as Pilkington `K` glass or similar) glass will be included to all your windows and doors in accordance with Document L, (excluding Conservatories and Porches, that will not be heated by the main house heating system) see enclosed brochure.

One window on the 1st Floor (and each floor above) will be nominated as a Fire Escape Window and fitted with a special hinge which allows for escape and cleaning.

A Confirmation Certificate will be issued by FENSA after the installation has been confirmed as paid and completed.

An insurance backed Guarantee Certificate/Insurance Policy will be issued by QANW after the installation has been confirmed as paid and completed.

Part P includes for a "Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate" being issued in accordance with British Standards 7671 - Requirements for Electrical Installations
